I don't have super strong feelings about ligatures in my fonts, so I never bothered dealing with this before, but I've noticed that JuliaMono ligatures are not showing up in my terminal (Konsole) or text editor (Emacs using Ligature.el). Curiously, Fira Code's ligatures do work for me in both of those circumstances. I'm using Manjaro Linux with KDE. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to begin troubleshooting what's going on here?
I'm a bit out of my depth trying to find help online with configuring this stuff so even just suggestions for settings and stuff to check would be appreciated.
cc @cormullion in case you know anything about potential pitfalls here
Which font have you chosen? Don't choose the -Latin version (they can be deleted)...
I had the regular JuliaMono 10 chosen. However, I just removed all traces of the font from my system, restarted and then reinstalled it and it's working now!
Mason Protter has marked this topic as resolved.
I had previously installed through the AUR, so maybe something was broken due to that
This time I downloaded the files and installed them myself through the Font Manager
Cool. Fonts - like cats - sometimes misbehave for no particular reason... :smiley_cat:
