Is it possible to write GPU kernels, e.g. using KernelAbstractions, and use labelled arrays, such that it is possible to refer to e.g. columns in a 2D array using column names?
Similar to LabelledArrays, but on GPUArrays or CuArrays: http://www.stochasticlifestyle.com/zero-cost-abstractions-in-julia-indexing-vectors-by-name-with-labelledarrays/

I'd recommend asking this on the GPU or arrays slack channels
